I understand the challenges parents face in finding quality STEM education for their children. Over the years, after teaching summer STEM courses, I’ve had countless parents approach me with a common question: “What’s next for my child?” It’s frustrating for parents to see their children’s enthusiasm and potential, yet not have access to advanced STEM resources locally. This recurring dilemma inspired me to create the Turing Guild, providing a solution that brings the high-quality, hands-on learning experience to a broader audience through an accessible online platform.

With over 40 years in the tech industry, I bring a wealth of knowledge and deep passion for both engineering and education to the Turing Guild. My journey began with a BS in Computer Science and a minor in digital electronics from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Starting my career at General Dynamics, I developed avionics software for the F-16 fighter jet, refining my skills in both software and hardware development. Over the years, I have embraced the evolution of technology, specializing in full-stack development and becoming an expert in iOS programming since its inception.

My commitment to education shines through in my decade-long experience teaching STEM courses to gifted high school students each summer. Additionally, I developed a comprehensive iOS mobile development curriculum for the Chicago Public School system and a train-the-trainer program for teachers. These initiatives aim to empower educators and ensure that students across the city receive high-quality, practical tech education. The Turing Guild represents the culmination of my lifelong dedication to technology and education. I believe every student deserves the chance to excel in STEM, regardless of their local resources. Through the Turing Guild, I am committed to providing the tools, guidance, and mentorship necessary to turn this belief into reality for young innovators everywhere.
